Simple lentil soup

1 bay leaf

1 clove garlic, finely chopped

1/2 cup lentils

3 tbsp olive oil

1 onion, chopped

Salt & pepper

1 tomato

1 1/2 tbsp vinegar (or more, to taste)

4 cups water
