¼ cup buttermilk

1 loaf french bread

2 tablespoons fresh basil, minced

2 cloves garlic, minced

juice of half a lemon

1 tablespoon mayonnaise

2 tablespoons olive oil

pepper, to taste

1 romaine heart, roughly chopped (about 3 cups)

½ teaspoon salt

3 large tomatoes, cut into bite-sized chunks

2 tablespoons plain yogurt (or sour cream)
