Wash whole green moong under running cold water till the water runs clear. Soak them in warm water for 1 ½ hours.Discard soaked water and add another 1 ½ cups of water, turmeric powder and bay leaf. Mix well and cook for 1 minute.Add boiled moong and ¾ cup of water and salt. Mix well. Let it cook for 5 minutes.Sprinkle chopped cilantro and serve hot.
