3/4 cup carrots, grated

1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/8 teaspoon cumin

1/2 cup pure dark molasses

1 1/2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil

Fruit juice (may need)

2 cloves garlic - minced, grated or crushed

1 teaspoon gluten-free tomato-free chipotle sauce or hot sauce (I use Buffalo brand.) (optional)

1 teaspoon hickory liquid smoke

1/4 teaspoon mace

1/3 cup chopped onion

15-20 turns freshly ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Filtered water (may need)

1/2 cup gluten-free white vinegar*
