Instructions For the Red White and Blue Cake Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9inch cake pan with nonstick spray. In a large mixing bowl, cream together Horizon Organic unsalted butter and sugar until light and creamy. About 3-4 minutes. Add in vanilla extract, almond extract, Horizon Organic Cultured Sour Cream, and Horizon Organic Whole Milk and stir until fully combined. Add in egg whites and mix until just combined. Scrape down sides of the bowl to make sure everything is fully incorporated. In another medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add dry ingredients in with the wet ingredients and mix until well combined. Separate the batter into 3 bowls evenly. Add red food coloring to one bowl, blue food coloring to one bowl, and leave one bowl white. Add enough food coloring till the red and blue colors are a nice bright reddish pink and blue. Scoop large spoonfuls of each batter into the prepared baking pan, layering them on top of one another. Bake for 32-28 minutes until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely. For the Buttercream Frosting: Cream the Horizon Organic unsalted butter until smooth. Add in the powdered sugar and mix until smooth. Add in the vanilla extract and Horizon Organic Whole Milk and mix until the frosting is the right consistency. Add in a tablespoon or two more of powdered sugar as needed, or a tsp or more of milk if needed. For Assembling the Cake: When the cake is cooled, even the top out as needed with a knife to make it flat. Spread a crumb coat of frosting over the top of the cake and place in the fridge for 20 minutes to harden if needed. Spread additional frosting on the sides and top of the cake to cover completely. Sprinkle top with sprinkles if desired. Serve immediately. Or store covered at room temperature for up to 5 days.

Food Joke

Because I’m a man Because I’m a man, when I catch a cold I need someone to bring me soup and take care of me while I lie in bed and moan. You`re a woman - you never get as sick as I do, so for you this isn`t a problem. Because I’m a man, I can be relied upon to purchase basic groceries, like milk or bread. Don’t expect me to find exotic items like ‘cumin’ or ‘tofu’. For all I know, these are the same thing. And never, ever expect me to purchase anything for which "feminine hygiene product" is a euphemism. Because I’m a man, there’s no need to ask me what I`m thinking about. The answer is always ‘sex’, ‘cars’ or ‘sport’. Because I’m a man, I don’t want to visit your mother or have her come visit us or talk to her when she calls or think about her any more than I have to. Whatever you got her for Mother`s Day is OK - I don`t need to see it. And don`t forget to pick up something for my mother too. Because I’m a man, you don`t have to ask me if I liked the movie. If you`re crying at the end of it, chances are I didn`t. And if you’re feeling amorous afterwards, then I’ll certainly remember the name and recommend it to others. Because I’m a man, I think what you`re wearing is fine. I thought what you were wearing 5 minutes ago was also fine. Either pair of shoes is fine. With or without the belt, it looks fine. Your hair is fine. You look fine. Can we just go now? Because I’m a man, and this is the year 2005, I will share equally in the housework. You just do the laundry, the cooking, the cleaning, the vacuuming and the dishes. I`ll do the rest, like looking for my socks.
