Ingredients:

1/2 cup almond milk "buttermilk"*

2 medium apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced

1/4 cup applesauce

3/4 cup potato starch or arrowroot starch

1 teaspoon baking soda

3/4 cup blanched almond flour

3/4 cup buckwheat flour

1 cup boiling water or brewed chai tea

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup coconut oil, melted and cooled, plus extra for greasing skillet

1/2 cup coconut sugar

*Add 1/2 tablespoon cider vinegar to a measuring cup and add enough almond milk to reach 1/2 cup. Set aside for 5-10 minutes.

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 cup molasses

1 teaspoon salt
