1 28-ounce can whole tomatoes + ½ cup of the juice in the can

2 9-ounce packages fresh cheese tortellini

¼ cup cream

1 8-ounce package white mushrooms or cremini mushrooms, sliced

2 cloves fresh garlic

3 uncooked sweet Italian sausages, cut into bite-sized pieces

olive oil

fresh shredded parmesan cheese

¼ teaspoon pepper

½ teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons sugar
